View this page (the splash page) in full-screen mode for the best experience. The easiest way to do this is to use the and buttons to switch between modes. Some browsers handle full screen modes differently, so you can also toggle modes manually. On PCs, press F11. On Macs, you can use the Command + Control + F key combination or click on the green icon in the upper left corner of the screen. The site is not designed to be viewed on mobile devices or tablets. Why would you want to ..? Zooming is supported. Use your browser's zoom setting to reset.
Let's Start with the buttons along the top of the page. They open dialogs (pop-ups) that you should close when you're finished. If you have signed up, you'll see buttons enabling additional features. You can refresh (reload) the page to close all open dialogs. Hover over a button for hints. If the Gallery fails to open, toggle the screen mode or refresh the page and try again. Hold a mouse button down anywhere on the background to display the splash page image and a description.
If there's a playlist button, you can play tunes while you visit the gallery. For background tunes with slideshows and gallery photos, start the music first. Slideshows open in a separate tab in your browser, and they will run until you close them. If you want to browse the photos, close the slideshow page (if it's open) then open the gallery.
Click on Things! You might get lucky. Thumbnails (like the ones in this page) and images in general will display in their own window. Images with additional notes will display a fade-away banner at the bottom. Click on it - or the title at the top to read them. Credits for images from other people are displayed when you hover over the "Close" button. You can also pan and zoom images with your mouse wheel. Underlined, colored, or italicized text will often respond when you hover over, or click on it. Links always open a new page. Tips will often pop up to explain things. A tip that looks like this will do just what it says and take you down another rabbit hole.
If you created an account you'll have access to additional features. A small cookie will remember these settings whenever you return to the site. If they don't appear, login to refresh things. It's a good idea to do this occasionally to ensure that you are seeing the latest content since the site is updated frequently.
